Meeting opened at 7:30pm

 

SECRETARY’S  REPORT – Jan Chandler

TREASURER’S  REPORT – Ken Furlong

            Current Balance is $5,026.01

COACH’S  REPORT – Coach Feesler

v     The conditioning schedule is posted outside of Coach Feesler’s room.

v     The trip to Symmes Valley, OH (Near Huntington, WV) is scheduled for Apr. 13, 14 & 15. We will have the opportunity to play teams from outside our area.  The hotel is reserved for Thurs. and Friday.  We will leave on Thurs. and come back on Sat.  We have 2 games scheduled for Fri. and 2 games on Sat.

v     The club decided to donate $200 to the Byron Woods family.  This was motioned by Pat Doran and seconded by Karen Doran.

v     We discussed hosting a joint weekend summer tournament with Central.  No dates have been set.  It was suggested that the weekend before NSA (July 22) may be the best date to provide workers and players.  It was motioned by Pat Doran and seconded by Lori Sanders.  Coach Feesler will discuss our interest with Central.

v     The Division 2 Regional will be held at Central this year.

v     The fields are in good condition although we have a drainage issue.  Diamond #3 has been regraded and we plan on having the other two done this summer.  The approximate cost per field is $7500.

v     Erica Remshard and Shell Brown have signed with Cleveland State.  Jennah Cheripko will sign with Ohio Dominican University (ODU) Feb. 1, 2006. 

v     Tryouts start March 6.  Meet the Team will be March 26 and some teams will have their first game March 27.

v     This year’s coaches will be as follows;   Varsity – Molly Feesler,   Assistant Varsity – Missy Henrich,  JV A- Ashley Sanders,  JV B- Tabitha Furlong,          8th Grade – Kitty McGrievy,  7th Grade – Ron Robertson, and Jr High Volunteer – Tiffany Wheeler

 

VICE PRESIDENT’S  REPORT – Lori Sanders

We will have Spirit Wear again this year and will have samples available at Meet the Team night.                                                                                                                    

 

 

PRESIDENT’S  REPORT – Rob Cheripko

v     There was a good response from the Softball parents to work at the annual Kroger Classic tournament.  The Club would like to thank all our volunteers - Harry Remshard, Terry Eagan, Bill Chandler, Ron Wheeler, Pat & Karen Doran, Mike & Kelly Sanders and John & Debbie Weidner.

v     The fundraiser for the Big Booster Club this year will be commissions from a travel web site.  www.phnstravel.com

v     All athletic clubs will now have to have written contracts in advance for services provided (videos, Cd’s) to protect the PABC in future discrepancies. 

 

OLD BUSINESS

            None at this time

 

NEW BUSINESS

v     Stacy Ritter presented the merchant card fundraiser that we will be doing this year. It is similar to the Varsity Gold with some changes.  She has many merchants already committed and we gave her more local suggestions that she will pursue.  We are planning on starting this on March 11 with the Blitz on March 22.

v     The 2006 Golf Outing will be held Sept. 17 at the Willow Run Golf Course.  We will have sign up sheets for committees at the Meet the Team night.  Suggested committees will be;  Sponsors, Door Prizes, and Food Committees.  Todd Phillips will head the Sponsor Committee.

v     The 2006 Club committee sign up sheets will be available at Meet the Team night and they will be as follows; a photographer for each team,  a team representative for each team,  Banquet Video, Banquet Invitation, Banquet Program, Banquet centerpieces, and Banquet balloons.
