PANTHER SOFTBALL MINUTES

March 26, 2006

 

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.

           

COACH’S  REPORT – Coach Feesler

v     Coach Feesler introduced the 2006 Softball Coaches 

Ron Robertson  – 7th Grade Coach

Kitty McGrievy – 8th Grade Coach

Tabitha Furlong – Junior Varsity Coach

Missy Henrich   – Varsity Assistant Coach

Molly Feesler    – Varsity Head Coach

v     The 7th Grade Players were introduced by Coach Robertson

The 8th Grade Players were introduced by Kitty McGrievy

The 9th Grade Players were introduced by Jennah Cheripko and Shannon Nemeth

The 10th Grade Players were introduced by Mandy Deely and Erica Remshard

The 11th Grade Players were introduced by Shell Brown and Kira Doran

The 12th Grade Players were introduced by Coach Feesler

The players were dismissed to the commons with Coach Henrich and Robertson.

v     Coach Feesler discussed the Communications Guide Handout and information Packet.  The date for Team Camp II should read July 11-12 on the Important Dates page.  Parents can check   www.pickeringtonpanthers.com for updated schedule changes. 

v     Any help enforcing the Field Rule regarding No Pets, Smoking, Skateboards or Rollerblades would be greatly appreciated. 

 

SECRETARY’S  REPORT – Jan Chandler

            Minutes were read and approved.

TREASURER’S  REPORT – Ken Furlong

            Current Balance is $14,223.67

PRESIDENT’S  REPORT – Rob Cheripko

v     The Pickerington Athletic Booster Club in currently a combined club with Central and North.  It is in the process of splitting and running separate clubs respectively.

v     Last month a PABC fundraising committee formed in which Ken Furlong attended and reported that four subcommittees were created.  They are;

1.      Member

2.      Paver Bricks (around the Stadium)

3.      Travel Website www.PHSNTRAVEL.com

4.      Big Functions

 

OLD BUSINESS

v     Fundraising

                        Golf Outing – Alan Tharp reported that we need foursomes.

                        Golf Sponsors – Todd Phillips reported that he has a sign-up sheet for

                                    prospective Sponsors and a letter to take to the Businesses.  Pat

                                    Doran suggested we list our Sponsors on the Website and Banquet

                                    program.

                        Banner Sale – Alan Tharp is making a flyer.

v     The Club received a thank you note from Pete Liptrap for our donation to the Byron Woods family.

 

VICE PRESIDENT’S  REPORT – Lori Sanders

v     Each team has- their own roster to verify/correct contact information for parents.

                             -concessions sign-ups

                             -committee sign-up sheets, including two volunteers from each

                               team for the Golf Outing

v     Spirit Order sheets are included in the handout and will be taken tonight with a tentative turn around of two weeks.

v     The Concession trailer is not in place yet.  The first scheduled home game is Tuesday, the 28th   for the JV Team.
