Secretary's report: (Kelly Sanders)
Minutes read and approved. Motioned by Todd Phillips, seconded by Bob Wentz.
Treasurer's report: (Ken Furlong)
Interest in account = $1.61. Balance = $ 7,32200. 06/07 budget submitted, will present in Sept. Approved by Vicki Phillips, seconded by Mrs
Gamby.
Coaches report: (Molly Feesler)
> Field Work Day--Sept 24th. Needed items as follows: wheelbarrows, shovels, paint brushes,
rollers, work gloves. Crushed limestone to be placed around field and bullpen
area. Workers need to arrive by 4pm. Softball Club meeting follows immediately
after work is completed. No rain date is scheduled for work day.
> Destin Update: Still need to secure Bus company.
Assistant Principle Ms. Miller will attend with players if needed.
> Softball Schedule: Completed and presented. Schedule
made for two teams. Will adjust or add to schedule for additional teams or
games if needed.
Old Business:(Vicki and Todd Phillips/Alan
Tharp)
> Golf Outing/Sept 17th @ Willow Run. Total of 18 foursomes and 6 hole sponsers at
present time. Door prizes are needed. Possibly add instant bingo before outing
starts? Need to contact webmaster so sponsors names can be posted on web site
as promised. Golf outing volunteers to receive email reminders. Arrival time
for volunteers is 11:00am.
New Business: (Lori Sanders, President)
> Fundraiser update for Spring '07 Trip: Money for trip is not included in
the general budget. Money that is
earned above and beyond golf outing can go toward the trip. All extra money
goes toward the trip. Fundraising credits earned by parents and players will be
recorded and tracked on a sheet. The percentage of credits will be calculated
to determine money earned per player.
> September fundraisers so far are the golf outing and
Wine tasting event. September 29th from 6-9pm, At the Wine Guy. If players sell
5 tickets for this event that will equal one fundraising credit towards spring
trip. Tickets cost $20.00 and are available for pre-sale or at the door. Call
Mary @833-2488 or Lori @755-9066 for tickets or more information.
> Volunteers for football parking attendants on Oct
27th are Wentz, Gamby and King.
Fundraising: (Chair person, Vicki Phillips)
> Outback Steakhouse will donate 200 dinners. Preferred date for Outback
night is March 14th,which will take place @ Pick.North cafeteria. Dinners may
be purchased for take-out or dine in. If players sell 5 tickets to this event
this will equal one fundraising credit towards spring trip.
> Banner update: size 4x6, background will be color coded for expiration
date of banner. 1st yr banners silver, second yr white. Banners allowed for
view x2yrs. Advertiser may renew banner after 2 yrs. Need to obtain tax exempt
form.
